Temperature detection component:
Kuaida solid-state relays usually integrate temperature sensors or use temperature sensitive components in close contact with the relay. These components can monitor the temperature changes of the relay in real time. For example, a common thermistor is a temperature sensitive component whose resistance value changes with temperature. When the temperature rises, the resistance value of the thermistor decreases accordingly. By measuring the change in resistance value, the temperature change can be indirectly obtained.
Set temperature threshold:
In the design or use of relays, a temperature threshold for over temperature alarm will be pre-set. This threshold is determined based on the temperature range during normal operation of the relay and the maximum temperature it can withstand. Once the monitored temperature exceeds this threshold, an alarm function will be triggered.
Alarm signal output:
When the temperature reaches or exceeds the set threshold, the solid-state relay will output an alarm signal in a specific way. This may include the following forms:
Flashing indicator light: An indicator light is installed on the outer shell of the relay. When an over temperature situation occurs, the indicator light will quickly flash to visually alert the user. This method is simple and intuitive, and can be easily detected even in environments with poor lighting.
Sound alarm: The relay may be equipped with a small buzzer or speaker inside, which will sound an alarm when the temperature exceeds the limit. Sound alarm can attract attention through auditory perception when the user cannot directly see the relay.
Signal output to control system: For some solid-state relays used in automation control systems, an electrical signal will be sent to the control system when overheating occurs. For example, sending a specific voltage or current signal to the controller or monitoring system through the output terminal of the relay, so that the control system can take corresponding measures, such as cutting off the power supply, starting the cooling device, etc.
The over temperature alarm function of Kuaida solid-state relays is very important for protecting the safe operation of circuits and equipment. It can promptly remind users or control systems to pay attention to abnormal temperature conditions of relays, avoiding safety accidents such as relay damage, circuit failures, and even fires caused by high temperatures.
